I am thrilled that Outside In Literary & Travel Magazine has welcomed my piece, "Unchartered Tourism," into its Winter 2013/14 Issue.
On my recent honeymoon in Italy, my husband, Douglas, and I found ourselves a football field's distance away from the Costa Concordia, just eleven days after the historic parbuckling operation to right the ship. The piece explores my prior perception of tourism as a New Yorker, and how this striking personal experience changed it.
Happy reading! Oh, and if you so desire, you can help me feel good and follow me on my spiffy new Twitter account.
Welcome, 2014! And Average Joelle, happy birthday.
